Inspired and the Sleep | In My Labyrinth Mind | Time Travel

You really get many, many digital promos and demos from young acts when you run a music blog. Much of it is truly excellent, not all of it your own “cup of tea” and anyway you only find a fraction of it really time to listen to. All the greater is the joy when you find a piece of music in your mailbox that fits perfectly into this blog. The young band Inspired and the Sleep from San Diego, California, will release their EP “In My Labyrinth Mind” in October. Last month the guys, who describe their sound as Psychedelic Lo-Fi Pop, released the excellent piece “In My Labyrinth Mind” under a Creative Commons license and “Name Your Prize” as an exciting appetizer in advance. “Painfully sweet noise“, a meta tag with which the band labelled the piece, describes it beautifully here. A few weeks before, the pre-release couplings “Sleep Well On Knives” and “Time Travel” – released under the same licenses – already fuelled curiosity about the upcoming release. A Video has also been produced for “Time Travel” and for “Sleep Well On Knives“. Inspiring release. My interest in the remaining tracks of the EP is aroused.
